Antonio La Regina was born on August 2, 1989 in Trento, Italy. Growing up in South Tyrol, his childhood and youth were shaped by both the Italian and Austrian roots of his family - his father was a Carabinieri and his mother comes from Lienz in East Tyrol.

After the age of 20, he decided to become an officer and graduated from the renowned Theresan Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt with distinction. During his military career, he gained international experience, including his studies at the French military academy Saint-Cyr. From October 2014, he was deputy company commander of a paratrooper battalion in Klagenfurt, Austria.

On 13 January 2015, a stroke of fate struck: Antonio La Regina fell 150 meters during a ski tour in Carinthia.

A year of sick leave, a wheelchair and intensive rehabilitation followed. But instead of letting it get him down, he fought his way back into life. After his recovery, he moved to the language institute of the Austrian army, where he worked as an Italian teacher and as a consecutive translator and interpreter for German, English and French.

He then moved into the world of media: for almost two years he was a live presenter of a morning show on the radio.

Today, Antonio La Regina is a moderator, director and film producer - his great passion is to tell stories that touch people's hearts.
